Created as a collaborative project, Anticonformity and Art explores the role of art as a form of opposition to social norms and issues. A statement— “Art can have side effects as cultural education”—was published as an advertisement in a local newspaper, challenging perceptions of art’s role in education and culture. This statement was also transferred onto a canvas and a protest sign carried by the author through the streets.

By placing this message in unconventional public spaces—both in print media and the urban environment—the work provokes spontaneous engagement with passers-by, prompting conversations about the significance of art in contemporary society. The project blurs the boundaries between art, activism, and everyday life, emphasizing the power of artistic expression beyond traditional exhibition spaces.
